Amanda Becker directed a film about civil rights pioneer Nelson Peery, who tells us of his WWII experiences in a segregated army and his work after the war as an African-American radical. This piece is a segment from Greatest Generation Showcase 2: The War, a co-production with the Minnesota Historical Society, showcases the 2007 award-winning videos about Minnesotans during WWII.
